W BALI – Seminyak Appoints New Director Of Culinary, NORBERTO VALDEZ PALACIOS – BIENVENIDO NORBERTO!

W Bali – Seminyak is excited to announce the arrival of the new Director of Culinary, Norberto Valdez Palacios, better known as Norberto. Coming to Bali, Norberto is more than ready to amplify his culinary experiences and lead the team in W Bali throughout the hotel’s uber-fashionable outlets, Fire, Starfish Bloo (with its popular Sunday Brunch), through to Woobar Bali and other B&F outlets on the property.

The Argentinian born, Norberto, successfully finished a variety culinary training in the Instituto Argentino de Gastronomia, before he finally got his Culinary Art Degree –  Professional Gastronomico from Ecole Le Notre Argentine, in December 2000. Starting his professional career straight after graduation, he cooked as Chef de Partie, Chef Instructor, and climbed the ranks to his first Executive Chef position in 2006. Norberto was also an experienced External Chef – Consultant to one of Mexico’s well-known beach clubs, helping the pre-opening culinary team to set their two restaurants. In 2019, Norberto finally joined the W family as Executive Chef at the W Maldives, successfully leading a multicultural team of highly-skilled food professionals for three of their restaurants, Steak House, International All-day dining and their seafood restaurant. Throughout his W Maldives career, he also successfully hosted several unique events with well-known international chefs, such as the Island Take Over with Mark LaBrooy, the chef and owner of Three Blue Ducks, a famous restaurant group from W Brisbane.
