Thrilled to announce that SHL Asia with Rusdi Sanad is collaborating with Amandari to launch and exhibit the Timeless Harmony book as a part of this year’s Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) event series. On their 18th year, UWRF came up with the theme drawn from a Balinese-Hindu philosophy, Mulat Sarira, interpreted in English as Self-Reflection. It highlights the changing state on how people respond to and contemplate on the new normal from cultural and social point of view. Timeless Harmony will participate on UWRF for a launching and exhibition event that will start on October 16th in Amandari Resort, Ubud.
Amandari, which means peaceful spirit, has become SHL Asia and Rusdi Sanad’s choice to host these events for the strong and authentic values that Amandari portrays. For many, but particularly for the new generation of Aman junkies, authenticity is the new luxury and it goes in parallel with how Timeless Harmony presents the authenticity of the work of SHL Asia and Rusdi Sanad that responds the value of Balinese culture.
Aman always seek for the most incredible site on earth, cultivate each potential and make the most of them. Amandari lies on top of a valley where sacred temple lies beneath. It allows the resort to become part of the local tradition where locals would pass through the Amandari complex to get to their temple below and perform rituals. Just like Timeless Harmony, it is what sets Amandari apart from the rest, the consistency to be in harmony that makes us stays relevant. It is the common vision and mission that made Amandari was chosen to host this important milestone.
Together, they have held a private soft launching event for book review and discussion with guest speakers, Radit Mahindro, Marketing Communication Director of Amandari and I Nyoman Gede Maha Putra, an architecture lecturer and researcher from Warmadewa University. The discussion will be broadcasted for public on 16 October 2021 at 13.30 Bali time on Ubud Writers & Readers Festival (UWRF) social media account (Instagram and Facebook) and Youtube account.
Even more, if you are still curious on some sneak peak of the book, SHL Asia with Rusdi Sanad will hold a Timeless Harmony book exhibition that starts on the same date as the launching event, October 16th, for two weeks in Amandari Resort that will be open for public. The theme of the exhibition is “Desa Kala Patra” or roughly translated into Place, Time and Situation. The idea of this concept is the discretion to continuously improvise and re-interpret, making the tradition a flexible and lithe heritage to constantly respond the needs of times and place without losing its essence or basically to respond and behave accordingly.
SHL Asia and Rusdi Sanad with Amandari are sharing the same vision and value towards Balinese culture and have implied the concept of Desa Kala Patra to each of their own work.
