Okay we’re spilling the beans, possibly because we recently had a gathering there, so now even more of you know… Yes we’re talking Ti Moris on Batubelig, which is also a dog friendly venue!!
But what’s new you may ask? Well, they’ve “gone down and got right creative” haven’t they. Their new signature cocktails fairly rocked the event last week. Take their Flat-White Martini, everyone loved that, and had at least two each!
Next up on the “I’m loving’ it” stakes was the Skinny Colada, shortly followed by the Moris & Mary – the virgin version was accoladed by the one and only non-drinker in our group – #justsaying.
Yes, you’ve guessed, its a take on the Bloody Mary but way better, and way more Mauritian.
The Breakfast Marmalade was next up, ‘fresh yet crisp: gin, Cointreau, homemade marmalade, fresh lemon and mint”. There were even a couple of orders taken that evening by the barman for Sunday morning delivery. Oh dear!
Mix these refreshingly new ‘creations in a glass’ with “The Gajaks” – Mauritian street food in small bites under 50k – and now their ever-popular local artisan cheese platter, and you start to attract tribal gatherings, small business meetings, quick one off catch-ups and more. Also of note is their music, a mix of Bossa Nova, tropical beats and siesta sunset sounds.
One of their favorite days is Wine All You Want Saturdays which comes with a complimentary cheese platter for every bottle of wine you order. On top of that they also do Islander-style brunches, lunches and dinners – even delivery and take outs! Make ours the Succulent Lamb and Jasmine rice, please.
Pop in any time of day and while there is no actual off-street parking, GoJek or GoCars are just seconds away. And, if we can’t get to Ti Moris we know we can order and Ti Moris to come to us.
