Music, Dance and Authentic Balinese Dining at Dulang Restaurant

Dulang

Music, dance and Balinese cuisine – A lavish Balinese culinary excursion at the elegant Dulang Restaurant – St Regis Bali Resort in popular Nusa Dua.

The lavish and grand Dulang Restaurant at The St. Regis Bali Resort is re-opening its doors for guests to experience an authentic Balinese culinary journey. With an enchanting colonial setting and beautiful verdant garden surroundings, Dulang’s menu is inspired by the best Balinese cuisine served in a traditional style.

Dulang

The culinary excursion begins with a friendly greeting by majestic hosts offering traditional Loloh Cemcem, meticulously prepared with indigenous herbs from a beloved family recipe. Once seated, “Mewacik” or a Balinese hand-washing ritual will be performed, followed by the opportunity to choose from a wide array of sambals (spicy sauces) alongside home-cooked crackers, exquisitely prepared at the table.

Dulang

The main course will be served on a traditional dulang or “royal plate”, from which the restaurant takes its name, while guests listen to enchanting music played on traditional bamboo instruments called rindik and accompanied by Balinese dancing. The evening ends with an original Balinese dessert, such as limpang-limpung, fried banana dumplings with caramelized brown palm sugar sauce, or the delicious dadar gulung, a pandan leaf crepe filled with palm sugar and grated coconut, both served alongside the famous, world’s most expensive coffee, Kopi Luwak.
