Mar, Bali’s masters of seafood, have joined forces with La Tabla, bringing the freshest seafood and favorites, as well as experiences from Beirut to Barcelona. Cocktails are inspired by “classics”, but made with the finest ingredients Bali has to offer. Sweet, salty, sour, and smooth.
The sophisticated Mediterranean-style dining room at La Tabla is overflowing with beautiful tropical plants and a paddy field view that perfectly fits the furniture. About the Chef:
Brenton Banner, an award-winning chef from Australia, joined the kitchen as Executive Chef of the new dining concept of La Tabla. Brenton has extensive experience working in some of Melbourne’s finest restaurants, including George Colombaris, The Press Club, and Circa The Prince. Brenton has been the head chef and owner of the acclaimed Warrnambool restaurant Pickled Pig since 2014. In 2017, the restaurant received a Chef’s Hat from The Age’s Good Food Guide.
Brenton arrived in Bali for the first time in 2019 to work as Executive Chef at BOTANICA Bali, drawn to the island by a desire for culinary adventure. When Covid-19 hit the world, he returned to Australia and joined Ghanem Group in Brisbane as Group Kitchen Manager, overseeing all seven group venues. Now that he’s back on the island, he has immersed himself in Bali’s food culture. Brenton’s La Tabla menu highlights the best of Bali and Indonesian ingredients, with a modern Mediterranean twist.
