The naming of the celebration as “Easter” seems to go back to the word “Eostre”, the actual name of an Anglo Saxon goddess of Spring and fertility.
Here in Bali, we might not have Spring but we definitely have a goddess of fertility – Dewi Sri – goddess of rice and harvest!
