Name, age (if you want to tell us) and where were you born?

Andry Kurnyawan (Nickname: Andry), 43 y/o, Waingapu, East Sumba on Sumba Island.

When did you come to Bali? 

1980 (2 years old).

Do you have family here? (We include your furry friends into this question). 

Yes, they are in Bali and also our little furry member (Harry).

What brands have you worked for over the years? 

Westin Bali, Mulia Jakarta and Bali, Sudamala Resort, InterContinental Bali and Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach.

Nineteenth of March 2020. When you first heard of the Bali “stay at home” / #dirumahaja regulation what went through your head? 

I imagined how complicated it will be to handle all work when all were files stored on office computers and moving doing all things into virtual zoom etc. 

What was your company’s reaction to this regulation? 

To keep going and initiate plans.

How long have you been working at this company? 

2 years (2019 to present).

What backup measures did you start putting in place when the writing was on the wall? (Covid 19 regulations were extended). 

Patience and survival, doing things we liked and controlling our social life.

What was your mental state and how did you move forward into a more positive attitude? 

By staying positive and mindful when seeing everything in daily life, and getting closer to my family. 

Finally, what are you doing now? 

Still within the company… Thankfully.
